Code of Conduct
All attendees, speakers, sponsors, and volunteers of AWS Community Day Bolivia 2026 must agree to the following code of conduct.
1. Purpose and Commitment
We are committed to creating an inclusive, safe, and enriching environment where all AWS community members and event participants feel welcome, respected, and valued, regardless of their personal or professional characteristics.
This Code of Conduct sets the behavior expectations we consider fundamental to the success of our events and the well-being of our community. Compliance is mandatory and allows no exceptions.
2. Expected Behaviors
Create a positive environment:
- Treat everyone with respect, courtesy, and professionalism
- Foster a collaborative environment for mutual learning
- Show empathy and consideration toward the experiences and perspectives of others
- Use clear language in all interactions
Participate constructively:
- Contribute positively to discussions and activities
- Listen actively and with an open mind
- Offer and receive feedback constructively
- Respect the times and spaces designated for each activity
Maintain integrity:
- Act with honesty and transparency in all interactions
- Respect intellectual property and give appropriate credit
- Follow event rules and the instructions of the organizing staff
3. Unacceptable Behaviors
Generate harassment or discrimination:
- Offensive comments related to personal characteristics
- Verbal, physical, or visual harassment toward any participant
- Deliberate intimidation, stalking, or unwanted following
- Unauthorized photographs or recordings
Disrupt the event:
- Constant interruptions during presentations
- Disruptive behavior that affects the experience of others
- Improper use of equipment or facilities
- Consumption of alcohol or substances that alter behavior
Compromise safety or integrity:
- Threats of physical or verbal violence
- Impersonation or falsification of credentials
- Unauthorized access to restricted areas
- Behaviors that put others at risk
4. Scope of Application
- Participants: Attendees, speakers, sponsors, volunteers, organizers, and AWS employees.
- Spaces and moments: Main event, in-person and virtual parallel activities, physical spaces, and related digital platforms.
5. Reporting Procedure
If you witness or experience an incident:
- Report to the organizing team: Contact the staff or write to contacto@awscommunity.org.bo
- Immediate safety: Go to the venue security staff
- Useful information: Include a description, people involved, witnesses, place, and time
Confidentiality: All reports will be handled seriously and discreetly.
Our commitment:
- Respond within 24 hours
- Investigate impartially
- Protect confidentiality
- Provide support to those affected
6. Consequences and Corrective Measures
Immediate measures: Warning, partial or complete removal, restriction from future events.
Additional considerations: The severity will be evaluated and, if necessary, authorities will be involved. Refunds will not be granted.
7. Responsible Use of Social Media
Allowed content: Photos, videos, event promotion, use of official hashtags.
Considerations:
- Ask for consent before photographing or recording
- Respect privacy
- Do not share sensitive information
- Maintain a positive and professional tone
